Literature Text

You had been chatting with Yamamoto for a while about baseball and his team and the best teams and all this other good stuff. It took you a while to realize why something was off. Looking around you blushed and nearly cursed out of embarrassment.

    It was dark. All of your friends had left you alone. It was starting to get cold and the streets were starting to empty. When you looked back at Yamamoto you caught him staring. He grinned and you blushed again.

    "Uhm, I, uhh. I think I'd better go back home. My parents will be wor-"

    You stopped talking immediately. You couldn't help yourself anymore and face palmed. When you lifted your hand from your head you saw Yamamoto looking at you concerned.

    "Are you alright? Is something wrong? Oh, gosh, you're right, it is already dark out. You must think I am an irresponsible idiot. I'm sorry. Let me take you home, I can explain to your parents that it was my fault you were out so late and-"

    This time you interrupted him. Trying not to laugh at his (adorably cute) concern, you hold up a hand.

    "No worries. My parents aren't even here now. That's why I hit myself. I was going to uhhhh."

    You stopped again. It was embarrassing to say your plan to ask one of the girls to spend time together out loud. Especially because it was a school night. But you took one look at an expectant athlete and crumbled.

    "I was going to ask one of the girls to spend the night. But it's stupid. It's late and a school night. "

    "I don't think it's stupid at all. Tsuna and Gokudera and I spend the night at each others houses on school nights all the time. It makes me happy that you are getting to know Kyoko and Haru. They like you a lot."

    Another dazzling smile. Another blush. You suddenly realized you were very close to each other. Closer. Closer. Clos-

    Thoughts interrupted by a telephone. Some loud, heavy music was trilling. Yamamoto backed up and coughed a little, but it was too dark to see if he was blushing or not. He pulled out his phone and answered.

"Hello, Yamamoto speaki-"

    Suddenly his eyes widened. He dropped the phone and bolted. He was gone so fast, it took a minute to process. But when you did you scooped up the phone and ran after him.

----------Yamamoto POV---------

    [name] and I were having a really nice moment. We were chatting for a while and suddenly I looked up and it was dark. We talked about how close she and the other girls were getting and I suddenly had the urge to kiss her. I leaned in a little, and then a little more. It was too dark to see her expression but she didn't back away, that was a good thing, right? I was a mere inch away from my goal when my phone rang and I jumped backwards. I hoped the darkness hid my blush and answered my phone.

"Hello, Yamamoto speaki-"

"Y-yamamoto? It's Kyoko. We- we really need your help. Some guys jumped us and they are really strong. Tsuna is keeping them at bay, but there are too many! Pleas-"

    I didn't even wait for Kyoko to finish. I was too involved with [Name] that I didn't even think about my friends! What kind of a person allows his friends to be ambushed alone?!? (A normal kind?) I dropped my phone and took off running. It wasn't until I heard [Name] screaming that I realized I didn't know where I was going. But I didn't stop. I couldn't stop.

---------your POV------------

    As you were running you held the phone up to your ear, hoping whoever it was was still there

"Hello? Hello? Who's there? What's wrong?"

"[Name]? We are being attacked by some really creepy guys! It's so awful!" I heard Kyoko cry out.

"Kyoko, where are you?"

"We are in the middle of Maple Street(oh my creativity) -"

"Maple street. Got it. I'll be there in two minutes."

    you snapped the phone shut before Kyoko could disagree. You were breathing heavily trying to keep with Yamamoto. When you looked up you realized you were going the wrong way. Shaking your head you yelled out.

"Yamamoto! This is the wrong way!"

    Either he couldn't hear you or he ignored you. That second thought sting a bit, but you tucked your crazy teenage feelings inside and pushed yourself to run faster. You eventually caught up to the athlete and grabbed his hand. You yanked him in the direction you needed to be going without a word. Still, he seemed to understand and ran with you, allowing you to take the lead.

    After what seemed like forever you came across Maple Street. You could see some bulky, hulk-like dudes with guns picking on your friends. You started to lag behind Yamamoto, panting from over-exertion and fear. But Yamamoto just charged straight ahead. Your eyes widened when you saw Tsuna landing a few hard punches on these guys. Your jaw hit the floor, though, when you saw Yamamoto jump into the battle with a sword. Where on earth did he get that? And how did her know how to use it? Your head spun after watching Yamamoto, Tsuna, and Gokudera fight using what looked like special gloves, a sword, and many different explosives. Just who were these guys?

    But still, even with all three of them, you knew that there were too many enemies for them to face. You wanted to help but if you tried fighting you would just get in the way. You looked around for some sort of weapon or anything you could use to help your friends. Out of the corner of your eye, you saw something bright. And fluffy. And moving. Whipping your head towards Hibird, you saw a savior. A devil with a mean temper and a wild reputation, Kyouya Hibari was walking down a road nearby. Without a second thought you raced towards the dangerous man.

"Kyouya Hibari. I need your help. I've heard you are extremely strong, and some of my friends need you. They are fighting some stupid jerks over there, but there are too many. Please help them!"

    Hibari just stared at you blankly. He turned away from you and just continued down the road. You stood there mouth slightly agape. He seriously did not care that people could get seriously hurt. Frustrated, you grabbed his arm.

"They could get so hurt that they miss school. Are you okay with that?"

    Hibari turned around and cruelly smiled.

"Weaklings who can't even handle themselves shouldn't be at my school anyway"

    Frustration turned to annoyance and slight anger. Hibari pulled his arm free and was about to walk away from you again. An idea popped into your head and you grabbed the yellow chick off Hibari's head before you could think about the consequences.

"Fine," You said, holding the bird in the delinquent's face, "Then you will help because I hold your favorite bird hostage."

    You knew it wasn't your best plan, and could very easily end with more bodily harm than necessary, but you were desperate. You nervously shifted your weight from one foot to another while the sharp eyed man raised an eyebrow. You flinched as he took a step towards you and expected a fist (or tonfa) to the head, but Hibari merely stepped around you and headed towards the impending fight. You smiled and ran towards your friends, happy to have been some help.

~~~~~~~~~~~~TIME SKIP BECAUSE I SUCK AT FIGHT SCENES~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    You stood over the bodies of badly beaten punks and shivered. Hibari walked over to you and you quickly released the cute bird in your hands. Hibird flew over to his owner and he retreaded to the rooftop of a nearby building. Turning around you saw Kyoko and Haru tending to Tsuna and Gokudera. Yamamoto was sitting under a streetlight. You made your way over to him and sat down.
"You okay? No fatal wounds?"
    Yamamoto looked up and smiled brightly while shaking his head. He patted the ground next to him and you took the liberty of sitting.
"So... You wanna explain to me what you and your friends do in your spare time."
    You made zero attempt to phrase the sentence as a question, and sit there staring expectantly. When Yamamoto just sat there staring at you, you frowned.
"Come'on! You just jumped into a street fight against big jerk-faces, and you had a SWORD! and tsuna was flying all over the place and Gokudera had BOMBS and you expet to just sit here staring and not telling me anything even though I just SAVED you by risking  my LIFE by birdnappi-"
    Your long rant was cut off by a sudden kiss. You completely froze, words stuck in your throat. A blush spread throughout your face, and you lot the ability to think or create sentences. Yamamoto smiled widely with a blush on his face.
"I, uhh, I was going to do that earlier, but these 'big jerk-faces' got in the way. I hope you don't mind."
    You looked away and shook your head, blush still evident on your face.
"It.... It's fine. It's getting late. We should head home. But you'd better explain everything to me tomorrow! Okay?"
"Haha, okay, I promise." Yamamoto leaned over and kissed your cheek, smiling even wider. "Sleep well. See you tomorrow!"
    Blush replenished, you waved slightly. You looked over and saw Kyoko and Haru smirking. You smiled at them, knowing that they saw this coming a mile away. You couldn't help but giggle girlishly as you walked home. It was quite the crazy bunch of people you had gotten caught up with, but that was okay. This way, your life was never boring
Oh, bleh. This took forever, and I am not entirely happy with the result. Oh well. Three cheers for cheesy endings!
I do not own any characters used in this story:(
